Steward Of The Month
This month's Steward is Lutricia (Pat) Edwards!
Lutricia (Pat) Edwards has been an active member of St. Martha RC Church in Uniondale since 2008. Prior to St. Martha, Pat attended St. John of God in Central Islip where she and her family were also very active members for 15 years.
Pat enjoys the richness of serving God, her family and the community. In the 11 years that she has been a member of St. Martha, she was appointed Trustee of the Parish, is a member of the Parish Finance Committee, a Religious Education Instructor, a Eucharistic Minister and Lector (when called upon), Chairperson of the SMRCC Ministry to Catholics of African Ancestry and a member of the Parish Event Planning Committee.
Pat truly enjoys helping others help themselves and loves to teach children about our faith and the love and blessing of God. Building upon successful leadership while at St. John of God, Pat replicated the Academic Achievement Award Program to assist young students of African Diaspora who are planning to attend a Long Island Catholic High School with monetary awards for academic excellence and community service.
These awards help to defray some of the cost of attending a Catholic High School. Pat also organizes, with the help of Ministry members, the SMRCC Annual Mother's Day Tea Party that raises funds to compliment a grant received from the DRVC.
Pat resides in East Meadow, has been married for 33+ years to Michael Sr., and they have two children Michael Joseph and Theresa Ariel who both attended LI Catholic High Schools.
Pat also works full time as a Community Development Relationship Manager at
Citi Bank where she is responsible for providing support to nonprofit organizations that help low and moderate income residents.
God bless you, Pat, for all you do for people on Long Island!
